Formule & Méthode de Calcul
Matrix Capacity = f(Version 1 to 40, Error Correction Level L/M/Q/H)
The QR standard uses Reed Solomon error correction, allowing the code to be successfully scanned even if up to 30 percent of the visual matrix is physically damaged or covered by a logo.
Bonnes Pratiques & Conseils
- Optimize Error Correction (Level M or Q): Higher error correction makes the QR code denser and harder to scan from a distance. Use Level M (15 percent) for most marketing links, and Level H (30 percent) only if you are overlaying a large central logo.
- Maintain High Contrast: A QR code relies on the contrast between dark modules and the light background. Avoid printing dark red codes on black backgrounds; the scanner interprets them as invisible.
- Use URL Shorteners for Print: A 200 character URL creates a highly dense, difficult to scan QR matrix. Wrapping the link in a URL shortener vastly simplifies the matrix pattern and improves scan speed.
