- Embed Fonts Before Conversion: Standard SVGs often reference external web fonts (like Google Fonts). Because the canvas draws locally, you must base64 embed custom fonts directly into the SVG file before converting, or text will revert to standard serif.
- Scale the Canvas, Not the Image: Do not just stretch the final PNG with CSS. For sharp results, scale the actual canvas coordinate space before exporting to multiply the output pixel density.
- Compress the Final PNG: While PNG is lossless, its file size can be massive compared to the original SVG. Always run the output through an image minifier before deploying to production.

Why is the background of my converted PNG black?
By default, HTML Canvas elements are transparent. If you convert an SVG that has no explicit background fill color and save it as a JPEG (which does not support transparency), the background defaults to black. Stick to PNG for transparency.
Can I convert complex SVGs with animations?
No. The rasterization process flattens the vector into a static matrix of pixels. CSS animations or SMIL interactions inside the SVG will be completely lost during the PNG export.
Why does my text look different after conversion?
The SVG likely relies on an external font stylesheet that your local browser engine cannot load during the offline canvas rendering process.
