Architettura di Base e Formula Matematica
Merged PDF = Append(File B Page Tree) ➔ Merge(File A Page Tree) ➔ Rebuild(Cross Reference Table)
Merging is not simply pasting text. The compiler must merge the internal object dictionaries of both files and generate a new, unified Cross Reference (XREF) table so the PDF viewer can navigate the file.
Migliori Pratiche e Linee Guida Essenziali
- Standardize Page Sizes: Merging a standard US Letter document (8.5x11) with an A4 or a massive architectural blueprint can cause jarring layout shifts for the reader. Try to standardize dimensions before merging.
- Watch Out for Conflicting Form Fields: If you merge two distinct PDF forms that both happen to have an input field named 'Signature', filling out one field might automatically duplicate the text into the other.
- Flatten Before Merging: To avoid font conflicts or massive file bloat from duplicate embedded resources, it is often best practice to flatten (rasterize) complex PDFs before merging them into a final archival format.
